Method / DisclosureHow this atlas
is actually made.
The editorial method behind The Chocolate Atlas: how claims are sourced and scoped, how AI assistance is used and bounded, what is reviewed and when, and how to challenge anything published here.
THE CHOCOLATE ATLAS · FIELD NOTES ·
01No first-hand tasting is claimed
Nothing on this site reports a bar the authors personally tasted, a farm they visited, or a batch they measured. Sensory material teaches a method and a vocabulary; it does not review products.
02No ranking, no sponsorship
No brand, retailer or certifier has paid for placement, and no affiliate revenue is taken. Inclusion in the brand index is educational and is not an endorsement of sourcing practice.
03Not advice
The quality and safety material summarises published guidance for general education. It is not medical, dietary, legal or regulatory advice, and it does not replace a manufacturer's current statement about a specific product.
04Evidence ages
Sustainability programmes, ownership, regulation and market data change. A review date on a record is a statement about when it was last checked, not a guarantee that it is still current today.
